This is defnitely one of the most important and special releases that I have had the pleasure of putting together. As anyone who has seen the back catalogue of the label knows, I have worked with Neil Perry on many of their releases and had the fortune of seeing them rock many a time. They are all terrific people and were an amazing band. They were together for 4 years and produced over 40 songs. For a band from this scene and time, 4 years is an eternity. And this CD collection really demonstrates how the band grew as musicans and people over those 4 years.
The 2xcd contains 40 tracks recorded at various times and places for several different records. The first 4 tracks are unreleased anywhere else but this CD. It also includes a 35 minute video put together by Chris Smith and assisted by Herschel. It features tour and live footage from the very start to the very end with various jams as the background music. A small video was done by Dave Scott for one of the last songs ever recorded.
All in all, I think this is a terrific end and great closure to a band that was very significant for their time and I am very excited they let me be a part of it.
